What is there to say about “JT” that hasn’t been said already? Has played in every game in each of Queensland’s eight consecutive State of Origin victories, achieved the highest individual honour in Rugby League by being awarded the Golden Boot for World Player of the Year and has the rare distinction of winning three Dally M medals. Johnathan has confirmed his reputation as one of rugby league’s modern-day greats and is proud to be a North Queensland Cowboy. He made his NRL debut back in 2002 with the Bulldogs, picking up a premiership ring in the Clubs 2004 Grand Final victory. In 2005, he joined the North Queensland Cowboys and as they say.. The rest is history. In his first season with the Club, he won his first Dally M, before guiding his team to a Grand Final appearance. Countless appearances for QLD and Australia, along with achieving the highest individual accolades that the game has to offer, were overshadowed in the 2015 season. Winning a premiership for his beloved North Queensland Cowboys and Townsville, is at the forefront of everything that he has achieved, to date. Johnathan’s highly decorated career is one that will go down in history and he will be regarded as one of the greatest players to ever grace a Rugby League field.
