David is known for his superb athleticism, most memorably the 2013 Dally M Try of the Year against the Sea Eagles, while his strength and ability to break a tackle is also remarkable. Representing both the NSW U18’s and Australian Schoolboys on 2 occasions, respectively, David made his NRL debut in 2013 while also being selected for the Junior Kangaroos. He recorded a career-best season in 2016, scoring 14 tries in 23 NRL matches, making his City Origin debut and finishing the year with his first International appearance for Samoa. After an injury cruelled 2015 season that saw him play just 10 games, David missed just one match in a breakout 2016 season that saw him finish equal with James Tedesco on 14 tries as the Club’s leading try-scorer. The Campbelltown Collegians junior also finished with the most metres gained (3064m) and the most line-breaks (17) for Club.
